SOME OF THE BIGGEST
AND THE HARDEST THINGS ARE UNDONE
BY SOME OF THE LITTLEST AND SMALLEST ACTS OF BEING PRESENT
- MOOXLI -
Life can be a bit much.
Lately for everyone, in unique and individual ways, we are having the collective experience of life being too much:
Too much doing hard things for too long
Too much showing up no matter what
Too much, “If I don’t take care of this thing or this person who will?”
Too much we are more different than we are the same
Too much evil doing as evil does
Too much we will never be the same again
Too much what was, will never again be
Too much goodbye
Darlings, in the depth of the too much that this world throws at you please know that you are not alone in this disorienting experience. You are not alone in the wondering of how do we do what is next, how do we live the life in front of and all around us?
My prayer for all of us is that in the middle of this life that right now feels like it requires too much bravery, is that we pause and take a breath and see and find too much grace. I pray that we remember that compassion is not a zero sum game–there is enough to give to ourselves and to others-- and that we remember that some of the biggest and hardest things are undone by some of the littlest and smallest acts of being present.
Darlings in this time of too much may we remember that no matter what there is enough grace for us all.
