How Do I Book My Lodging for MOOXLI SUMMER 2022?

You must be a guest of Feathered Pipe Ranch to attend the retreat. You can book your lodging here. All housing is shared unless you book a "Single Occupancy" room. No coed housing will be assigned, but housing can be booked coed by attendees. Retreat registration must be completed prior to housing reservation. Any housing reservation in the absence of retreat registration will be canceled by Mooxli after 48 hours hours and a $50 administration fee will be deducted from the canceled charge. Lodging cancellations booked through Mooxli (Montana and New York Retreats) must be in writing and will be accepted up to 90 days before the retreat with a full refund excluding a $50 administration fee. We are unable to offer any refunds for lodging cancellations within the 90 day window prior to, or during the retreat for any reason.

Feathered Pipe mandates that room AND meals are part of the lodging package. So, each person has to book "a bed." For example, if you book the Sai Condo, even though it can sleep to three, each person staying in the Sai Condo has to book their bed.

Where should I fly in to?

We recommend the Helena Regional Airport (HLN). Direct flights into Helena currently originate in Salt Lake City, UT (Delta Airlines), Denver, CO (United Airlines), Minneapolis (Delta Airlines), and Seattle (Alaska Airlines). Missoula International Airport and Bozeman International Airport are also feasible points of arrival but will require a two-hour commute via bus or auto that you will need to arrange yourself. For those interested in art and cultural events, Missoula is a great place to spend a few extra days. If you are planning to go to Glacier National Park consider Great Falls, and Bozeman if you wish to spend some extra time in Yellowstone National Park.

Shuttle Service to and from Feathered Pipe Ranch on the retreat start and end day is complementary as part of retreat registration (see below info from the ranch shuttle driver):

For those coming for a Feathered Pipe Ranch retreat, we meet flights at the Helena Regional Airport. We also pick up/drop off at all hotels, B&Bs and AirB&Bs in Helena at no additional charge on the day of retreat arrival and departure. Shuttle service from/to Helena on arrival/departure day will be complimentary (free) for all registered guests! Please note that if you are needing pick-up or drop-off on any other day, that there will be a $35 one-way charge.

Our driver will meet you at baggage claim or outside your lodging wearing a Feathered Pipe t-shirt.  We are now grouping some pick-ups, so you may have a 30 minute wait. Click here to fill out shuttle service flight information form. Call the Ranch directly if for any reason there is a change in scheduled arrival on the day of travel or if you have not located your pickup at (406) 443-0430.

If you prefer to arrive early and stay in Helena, we will contact you at your hotel to arrange your pick-up. There is plenty to do and see in Helena. Contact our local Chamber of Commerce at (800) 743-5362 or www.helenachamber.com. Helena is half way between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks (3 hours by car in either direction), so you might consider coming a few days early or staying a few days after your retreat to take in one or both of the country and world’s true natural treasures!

What should I bring?

In addition to your personal traveling essentials, here’s a few recommended additions:

  1. Yoga Mat

  2. Stocking hat (the days start and end cool)

  3. Gloves (fall retreat)

  4. Headlamp or flashlight

  5. Flip flops

  6. Sunscreen

  7. An open heart

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

Yes. We recommend the Jade Yoga Travel mat if you are purchasing one special to fly with. (It folds down to the size of a piece of paper.) Regular yoga mats are easy to carryon as well as they fit in the overhead bin.

Other things I shouldn't bring?

Cell phone coverage is spotty but free wifi is available at the Ranch Main Lodge

Where can I eat at Feathered Pipe Ranch

Your retreat registration includes breakfast and lunch each day Monday through Wednesday and Breakfast on Thursday. Dinner Sunday night through Wednesday night is included in your lodging booking fee.  Feathered Pipe generously does their best to meet special diet needs of gluten free, dairy free etc. Just specify this in the provided field when registering for the retreat!

From the Feathered Pipe Kitchen:

You can expect to eat very well!

We are fortunate to have access to organic food through the Real Food Deli and Market in Helena – Montana’s first and only certified organic grocery store. All the meat we serve comes from local organic or transitional producers as does much of our produce. Every day you will enjoy our nutritious salad bars and entrees. Vegetarian, and fish or chicken alternatives are available at most workshops.

What is the format of the retreat?

Each day is centered on a theme to guide us through the week. The day starts with a 60 minute yoga session, followed by breakfast and then workshops. Workshops wrap right before lunch and lunch is provided. Dinner is provided at part of your lodging registration at Feathered Pipe Ranch. After dinner, you will have the option to welcome the evening with a specialized yoga class focused on your needs as a healthcare professional. A sample schedule may be viewed here.
